After almost two years of efforts by our President Kostas Chartofylis, and detailed examination and control of the relevant files by special Committees, the respective decisions of the Minister of Culture Mrs. Mendoni were issued, with which it was decided to register three customs from Nisyros in the National Index of Intangible Cultural Heritage, in the framework of the UNESCO International Convention. The customs are: ΅The KALANTIRA΅, and the dances, "KOUPPA" and "KAMARES".
